Magic Around Us
Can you believe it? You blink and a month just passes by. It is now a new month and I'm still processing the previous month. News of new vaccines are putting some people at ease that things will get better. I learned a long time ago that everything is temporary. Good things, bad things, painful things, they are all temporary. Knowing this has always gave me the drive to keep pushing, to stay patient. To not give up. It has also taught me to really appreciate the magical moments like a rainbow. A rainbow can be explained scientifically, but why bother. Simply enjoy the temporary magic. Welcome to March.

On a recent long walk, I saw this rainbow. It was just what I needed to see. Vancouver, B.C.

Another Chance to Get it Right
When I was a kid, before the internet, I would be so excited about the coming new year. You see, I love books, music, and movies. I would get so pumped up about the new year thinking of all the cool new movies and books that would come out. This was true excitement because I was guessing at the unknown. The wonder of possibilities. In today's world, there are websites that let us know what movies are coming, what albums are due this month, and what books to pre-order. In some small way, there is still excitement about upcoming things, but the wonder is gone.
2020 is in our rear view and I know it changed all of us. The new year is a reset and another chance to get things right. I will take a moment and be that kid again, and sit here with my coffee, and marvel at all the beautiful, creative, positive, and wonderful things the new year will bring. Welcome to 2021.

Sometimes, simply making a coffee the old fashion way, makes for a perfect cup. Vancouver, B.C.
